There are only a few hours left in Amazon's Prime Day sale this year, and top-tier deals on top-tier equipment have flooded the mega-retailer over the past day and a half. Prime members have been scoring massive savings on all kinds of running gear, and those discounts will keep going until midnight tonight.
In the meantime, though, the team at Runner's World has been parsing through the sea of deals ourselves, and I've come across killer listing that I reckon will be hard to beat: Oakley's Sutro sunglasses, which I've owned and loved for several years now, are up to 37% off for select colors and lenses.
I started as a cyclist long before I got into running, and I've always held one principle above all when looking for quality sunglasses: Big lenses are key for visibility. On the bike, the Sutro's massive frame gives me a wide field of view without the outer shell getting in the way, which allows me to see farther down the road (and side-to-side) when I'm leaning into a racing position. They also look cool as hell.

What sets the Sutros apart from other flashy, bug-eyed specs, though? And why care if you're a runner? The answer lies in the brand's Prizm lens technology, which is effectively a form of polarization on steroids. Not only does Prizm automatically adjust to the varying intensity of the sun, but it also amplifies the contrast of the road in front of you, helping you more easily spot that nasty crack in the sidewalk that could doom even the strongest ankles.
The Sutro is also an incredibly easy pair of sunglasses to clean and customize, using a neat little lever under the nose pads to unhinge the entire frame and make removing and swapping lenses a breeze. Want a clearer lens for a rainy day? No problem at all, although you do have to purchase one separately (thankfully, those are on sale today, too).
One of the biggest reasons runners and cyclists have steered away from Oakley is because of its premium cost, but until the end of the day today, there's a chance to knock that con right out of the question with these Sutro sales. This is a screaming deal on some of the best eyewear I've ever owned, and those don't come around often.
