Amazon's Prime Day sale is in full swing for 2023, running from July 11 through July 12, and we're seeing some of the biggest discounts on running equipment the web retailer has to offer, with deals on everything from basic gear to treadmills and beyond. We're even seeing a considerable 30% discount on one of our top-tested GPS watches, the Apple Watch Series 8, the most runner-focused Apple Watch we've ever tested.

If you're a Prime member, the clock is ticking to score this discount before the mega-sale ends. It's the biggest one we've seen this year, and we're unlikely to see prices drop this low again until at least Black Friday.

When we first reviewed the Series 8, we were relieved to see that the battery life was finally robust enough to last on some seriously long runs, including a marathon. It also now includes auto collisions as a part of its crash-detecting software, and it can even determine whether the crash was a side impact, rear impact, or a rollover. The display is also a millimeter bigger than the Series 6, giving you just a tad more readability out of the display. The screen is also more rounded at the edges now, helping you see your stats more easily at funny angles, and it's more damage-resistant than ever before.

The Series 8 comes with all the goodies Apple promised with the launch of watchOS 9, including triathlon mode, running power, and plenty more advanced stats for dialing your stride. This watch isn't a complete departure from earlier models, though: It still hangs onto some of our favorite features from older Apple Watches, including a swift charging time and the always-on display introduced in the Series 5.

Overall, it seems like Apple listened to runners before anyone else when they set out to update their watch for this newest iteration, and we're thrilled to see it. We're even more thrilled, too, to see it on sale at such a low price.
